SOS-ZEROPOL2030 General Assembly Held in Brussels

On 20–21 November 2025, the SOS-ZEROPOL2030 consortium gathered in Brussels for its third General Assembly, bringing together partners from across Europe to review progress, share insights, and align priorities for the next phase of the project.

Across two days of collaborative sessions, each Work Package presented an update on achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones. Discussions covered the building blocks for zero-pollution governance, the development of the Zero Pollution Living Labs, pollutant assessments across European case studies, and advancements within the Zero Pollution Accelerator. Dedicated sessions focused on impact, exploitation, PFAS mitigation strategies, administrative and financial updates, and the ongoing development of the Zero-Pollution Hub.

The assembly also offered time to reflect on legacy outputs, planned publications, and the project’s increasing visibility through conferences and events. Outside the formal sessions, partners connected informally during the project dinner and an entertaining PFAS quiz…where Belgian chocolates made for a highly sought-after first prize.

The Brussels General Assembly marked an important step in consolidating results from Reporting Period 2 and preparing the groundwork for the impactful activities planned in Reporting Period 3. The consortium continues working together to accelerate Europe’s transition towards zero pollution.
