Public and Stakeholder Risk Perception Survey Results
Executive Summary
As part of the EU-funded SOS-ZEROPOL project, the current report details the results of the public survey and stakeholders survey on the risk perception of four environmental pollutants (microplastics, PFAS, eutrophication, and underwater noise) and support for environmental policies across different European countries. The survey methodology, adapted to separately measure the perceptions of the public and other stakeholder groups (industry, governmental and non-governmental organisations, research), considers factors influencing support for environmental policies, such as policy intrusiveness, goals, and fairness as well as the role of socio-psychological factors in determining risk perceptions of different environmental issues.
