SOS-ZEROPOL2030 has released two new communication deliverables — D6.14 and D6.16 — further expanding the project’s suite of visual and interactive tools designed to make zero-pollution science accessible, engaging, and actionable for diverse audiences.

Together, these deliverables reinforce the project’s commitment to clear science communication, supporting policymakers, practitioners, educators, and the wider public in understanding pollution pathways and solutions from source to sea.

D6.14 – Project One-Pager: A clear snapshot of SOS-ZEROPOL2030

📄 Project One-pager:

Deliverable D6.14 presents a concise, visually engaging one-page overview of SOS-ZEROPOL2030. It introduces the project’s objectives, scope, priority pollutants, regional focus, and expected impacts in a format that is easy to share and reuse.

The one-pager is designed for:

  • meetings with policymakers and stakeholders,
  • events, conferences, and training activities,
  • outreach and dissemination beyond the research community.

By distilling complex work into a single, accessible product, D6.14 supports consistent messaging and strengthens the project’s visibility across platforms.

D6.16 – Interactive Story Map: The journey of tyre wear particle pollution

🗺️ TWP Visual Story – “Rolling on the River”

Deliverable D6.16 introduces an interactive story map that follows the journey of tyre wear particles (TWPs) from roads to rivers and ultimately to the marine environment. Combining maps, visuals, and narrative storytelling, the story map explains:

  • how TWPs are generated,
  • how they move through catchments,
  • why they matter for ecosystems and human health, and
  • where prevention and mitigation measures can be applied.

This interactive format helps users explore a complex pollution pathway in an intuitive way, bridging science, policy, and public understanding.

Building on earlier visual and interactive products

These new deliverables build on a strong foundation of visual communication developed in the previous reporting cycle, which are also available on the SOS-ZEROPOL2030 website:

Together, D6.6, D6.7, D6.14, and D6.16 form a coherent set of visual and interactive products that translate SOS-ZEROPOL2030 science into compelling stories — supporting awareness-raising, education, and evidence-based action towards the EU’s Zero Pollution ambition.

All deliverables are publicly available in the Resources section of the SOS-ZEROPOL2030 website.
